FasterPlate
For the cook in your house.
Feeding a family is a lot. We make one specific part of it — what's for dinner and what do we need from the shops — measurably easier, every week.
Upload a PDF of grandma's lasagne, paste a recipe from a blog, or type your own. We turn it into a clean card in your recipe book that you'll actually find again. Pick a few for the week, set the serves, and download a shopping list grouped by aisle. Plan menus day by day. Share with friends who ask.
No credit card. $10/year after the trial. Cancel any time.
No ads. No social pressure. No clutter.
Fast
Every screen, every click, gets you closer to a fed family. Your time is the scarce resource.
Honest
$10/year, stated up front. We tell you what we can't do as well as what we can.
Quiet
No notifications. No streak counters. No algorithm trying to live in your pocket.
Yours
Your recipes are yours, full stop. Not sold. Not held hostage. Exportable.
How it works
Three steps. None of them take long.
Add a recipe
Upload a PDF, paste from a website, snap a photo of a handwritten page, or type one in. We read the ingredients and method into a clean card you'll find again.
Pick the week
Tick what you're cooking this week and set the serves per recipe. Drag recipes onto specific days if you like — or don't, and just go shopping.
Shop the list
Download a shopping list with ingredients grouped by aisle — fresh produce together, dairy together, pantry together. Shop in order, not in chaos.

Built in a real kitchen
FasterPlate is run by a couple in Australia with three hungry teenagers, a big dog, a small cat and six chooks — all living at home. We built it for our own kitchen first, then for yours.
A real human reads every email sent to [email protected], usually replying within two business days. Your recipes are downloadable any time you want them. We won't change what the app does without telling you. We won't sell it to anyone else. We won't suddenly start charging more for what's already included.
Common questions
How does the free trial work?
Sign up with your email — no credit card needed. You get 14 days with full access to everything. After 14 days you decide whether to pay $10 for a year, or you stop using it. Nothing gets charged unless you actively start a subscription.
What if I cancel?
Cancel any time from your account page. Your subscription stays active until the end of the year you paid for, then it just stops. If you're within 14 days of paying, email [email protected] and we'll refund you in full.
Can I get my recipes back out?
Yes. You can download every recipe in your recipe book and every shopping list you've generated. If you ever leave, everything you put in comes out with you.
Is it for me if I only cook three or four nights a week?
Yes. Most families don't cook from a recipe every night — a couple of structured meals a week is usually enough to make a shopping list worth generating. Use it for whichever nights you do, ignore the rest.
Does it work for big families? Households of one?
Yes to both. The serves count is per-recipe and per-shop — tick a recipe, type how many people you're feeding, and the quantities scale. We've used it for two and for eight.
Can my partner / parent / kids use my account too?
We don't have shared household accounts yet (it's on the list). For now, the easiest approach is to share an email password — your recipe book is private to one account. Or use FasterPlate's "send recipe to a friend" feature to push specific recipes between accounts.
Is my email private?
Yes. We never sell it, never share it, never give it to third-party marketing. Other
members see your handle (like @cook_sm123), never your email. The only
emails you'll get from us are sign-in links, recipe shares from friends, and
account-related transactional messages.
Does it work outside Australia?
Yes — the app works anywhere. The shopping list groups ingredients by aisle in an order that matches Australian supermarkets (Coles, Woolworths), but the aisle names are generic enough to work fine in any supermarket.
What if I find a bug, or hate something?
Email [email protected]. A real human reads it, usually replies within two business days. We can't promise we'll change everything — but bugs get fixed and complaints are taken seriously.
Less time planning. More time eating together.
